Suction units from a Slovak manufacturer based in Humenné

MEVACS electric suction units are manufactured by the Slovak company MEDIST from Humenné. The small portable MEVACS M20 with a built-in battery is intended for airway suction, the M20D has three modes including chest drainage, and the M30 is a universal procedure suction unit that also works without mains power.

The MEVACS M38 and M46 are intended for surgery and continuous operation, and the high-performance M90 is also used in gynaecology and liposuction. The MEVACS 40 MOD-1 offers NORMAL, DRAINAGE and PULSE modes, and the S30/30 is a combined suction and irrigation unit for endoscopy. For hospitals with a central vacuum supply we provide the RVTM3 vacuum suction unit, the TM2 ejector, vacuum regulators and oxygen flowmeters.

How to choose a suction unit

  • Purpose – airway suction, surgery, chest drainage or endoscopy.
  • Vacuum source – an electric suction unit has its own pump, while a vacuum suction unit connects to the central vacuum supply.
  • Mobility – models with a built-in battery (M20, M30 in the 230/12V version) also work during transport.
  • Operation – the M38, M46 and M90 are intended for continuous use in the operating theatre.
  • Accessories – canisters, lids, SERRES liners, filters and tubing can be ordered by catalogue number.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an electric and a vacuum suction unit?

An electric suction unit generates vacuum with its own pump, so you can use it anywhere. A vacuum suction unit (for example the RVTM3) connects to the hospital’s central vacuum supply and does not need its own motor.

Do you also supply canisters, filters and tubing for suction units?

Yes, the complete range of Medist accessories – canisters with and without lids, SERRES liners, filters, tubing, suction tips and trolleys – can be found in the Accessories category.

Do you also provide installation and staff training for a suction unit?

Yes. We deliver the device, install it and train your staff on site. Our quotations therefore already include installation and training.

Do you provide warranty and post-warranty service?

Yes, we provide both warranty and post-warranty service for the devices we supply. In the event of a fault, call us directly on +421 905 455 357 – we arrange the service visit by phone so that your department is not left without equipment.

How do I get a quotation?

Send a non-binding enquiry using the form on the Contact page, or give us a call. State the department, the number of units and any equipment requirements – we will prepare a tailored quotation.
