About the device

CARDIAX PC is a PC-based electrocardiograph that turns an ordinary computer into a fully featured 12-lead ECG workstation. The recording unit connects to the computer, the software draws the waveforms on the monitor in real time and saves the recording directly to the patient database. The practice therefore needs neither a separate device with a printer nor an archive of paper records.

We supply the device in two versions. CARDIAX USB connects to the computer by cable, while the CARDIAX Wi-Fi/USB version works wirelessly and, in addition to a Windows computer, can also be operated from an Android tablet or mobile phone. The wireless connection is particularly useful where the device is moved between consulting rooms or to the patient's bedside.

The software analyses the recording automatically – it measures intervals, interprets the waveform, detects arrhythmias and calculates heart rate variability. In addition to the standard twelve leads, it also handles Frank leads for vector ECG. Recordings can be compared with previous examinations of the same patient.

CARDIAX connects to commonly used practice management programs – GALEN, Amicus, PC doktor, Medicus SmartMedix and others – so the recording is saved directly to the patient's record. The configuration can be extended with an SpO2 module and ergometry, including connection of an ergometer and vacuum electrodes.

The program has low hardware requirements and also runs on older computers. With every delivery we provide installation, connection to your practice management program and staff training.
