Light from the LEDs is guided through optical fibres into a pad on which the baby lies or in which the baby is wrapped. The skin is in direct contact with the illuminated surface, so the baby can stay in the mother's arms during treatment.
Suitable for both the neonatal ICU and the neonatal ward. According to the manufacturer, it meets the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommendations for intensive phototherapy.
